Volunteers

If you wish to be considered as a “Volunteer” with the Vail School District, please visit: https://www.applitrack.com/vail/onlineapp/default.aspx and complete the on-line volunteer application.

Please click “continue” through each page, entering new information, to the very end.  Click on “Review Application,” click on “Go To Submit Application,” and finally click on “Submit Application,” so that your application will be saved in the volunteer database.

Make sure to select Cottonwood Elementary, and include your email address on the application, so that you can be contacted through the volunteer system.  You may select up to three school sites to volunteer at.

The next step is to fill out an Affidavit and have it notarized.  The Vail School District is serious about student and staff safety.  District policy requires all potential volunteers to submit an Affidavit, attesting the individual is not now awaiting trial, nor has ever been convicted of, or admitted in open court, or pursuant to a plea agreement, of committing any of the criminal offenses listed on the Affidavit.

As a courtesy to the Vail School District, Vantage West Credit Union in Rita Ranch will notarize the Affidavit free of charge.  Just mention that you are applying to be a volunteer with the Vail School District.

* * * If you are not the parent or legal guardian of a student at Cottonwood Elementary, you must also be fingerprinted. We have the fingerprint card and location information where you can have this done. You can pick it up from the front office anytime.

If you have any questions or need assistance with volunteering, please feel free to contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Natalia Skillicorn at  (520) 879-2619  or by email at skillicornn@vailschooldistrict.org

Thank you,
